THE COMMUNITY

For those who long for a home near the water, look no further than the community of Lambton Shores.

Nestled along the banks of the southern tip of Lake Huron, Lambton Shores is a thriving beach town of 10,600 full-time residents that continually draws in thousands of Lambton County locals and visitors from other regions each year. Like many other communities in Lambton County, Lambton Shores offers access to basic conveniences and amenities, quality healthcare services and educational institutions, and proximity to larger neighbouring communities; but what really makes this place shine is its friendly community, quality of life, and alluring beaches.

Lambton Shores is a great community to live in. In fact, according to The Globe and Mail, it was ranked among the top 100 most liveable cities in Canada and the second-best place to retire in Ontario! People of all ages and walks of life love and enjoy the friendly community and quality of life here no matter what stage of life they’re in.

With its breathtaking and desirable location, one may think that it would be difficult to buy a home in this town, however, just like many other communities in Lambton County, buying a home in Lambton Shores is still very attainable. Though housing prices will vary depending on property location, one can find a beautiful single-family home or a summer cottage for a reasonable price and still be located within minutes to Lake Huron.

But as its name suggests, the main attraction of Lambton Shores is its stunning beaches and parks. Though the town has over ten thousand full-time residents, the number increases dramatically during the summertime as many people from nearby areas flock to Lambton Shores to vacation and enjoy its nature.

The town is home to Grande Bend Beach and Ipperwash Beach, two notable beaches with very distinct vibes.

Listed as a one of Ontario’s Blue Flag beaches, Grand Bend Beach is the more popular beach in the Lambton Shores community, attracting thousands of residents and visitors each year, especially during the hot summer months. Grand Bend Beach not only offers its sandy beach to the public, but also provides access to a wide variety of restaurants, shops, and night life, making it a fun place to hang out in.

Meanwhile, Ipperwash Beach is a more private beach with limited public access as many of the beachfront proprieties are privately owned. Regardless, Ipperwash Beach is still a lovely place to escape to, especially for families with younger children as the area is quieter and the water is shallower.

Lambton Shores is also home to Pinery Provincial Park, a stunning park that offers 10km of sandy beach, various walking and biking trails, and tons of biodiversity with its Oak Savanna and Coastal Dune Ecosystems. Though a widely popular place to be in the summer, many still enjoy doing activities in Pinery Provincial Park all year round.

Whether you’re a full-time resident or a seasonal visitor, Lambton Shores is friendly and vibrant community that’s open to all.
